first of all, thanks to anybody out there that has requested "i'll walk" at their local radio station. we've just hit the top 10 on the country charts and
are starting to see some slowing of the progress.
if you find yourself wanting to help us out and hear the song on the radio, below is a link to help you get in touch with your local radio station and request it. thanks!
(we hope to have more website updates in the near future - as is our custom, we are pretty awful at updating)
JUMP AROUND
September 8, 2008
back in january/february of this year, we got the idea to do this video. we never finished it
until yesterday. coyle loved jumping in his 'pugubop jumper'. we rewrote the lyrics to the song
"jump around" by house of pain and shot some footage around nashville at some of the fun landmarks.
after putting the track together in garageband, we waited way too long, and then finally finished it this
past weekend.
HIGHCHAIR TIME
August 27, 2008
sometimes, the most entertaining thing for us to watch coyle entertain himself.
August 12, 2008
COYLE WALKING
he's been practicing for several weeks, but coyle has recently (last week) started to use walking as his first choice for getting around. we shot this
footage last week and thought we'd share it with you.

COYLE'S FIRST BIRTHDAY
we can't believe it has been over a year already. here is a video of coyle and his two birthday cakes. he had one at lonnie's parent's
up in east brady, pa and one at sara's parent's up in fort wayne, in.
he got a little better hang of the second cake. as always, kiddie was helpful with the clean up. she's so domestic.

SNAKES IN OUR BACKYARD
we started a playlist on youtube called 30 seconds of wonder. we just recently put
up a video of snakes in our backyard from 2 years ago. we have
quite a few snakes that hibernate in our backyard. when they come out of hibernation, they are pretty common
on our little hill behind the house and easy to find. as the spring moves on, the snakes scatter throughout the neighborhood, and we just
have a few that choose to spend their summer with the fowlers.
this particular day, there were many of them crawling around each other in what is called a breeding ball. this
footage still can give us the willies even after 2 years.

FLIGHT OF THE AMISH GARAGE
here's a fun video of mom and dad's garage. dad set up the tripod and did a time lapse of the garage being built. we sped it up even more and
added some music.

SINGLE DE MAYO
good news! the song lonnie has on the bucky covington album is now the newest bucky single to be released to radio. it's definitely a blessing
to be on the album, but even an greater one to have our song given the chance to climb the charts.
the song has been getting spins the past few weeks, but is officially released and looking for radio station adds starting this week. it is in the
50's right now on the country charts.
if you have a website or myspace and want to help promote the song there,
here's a link to a page of banners you can use to do so.

A FEW MORE VIDEOS
here are a couple more videos that have been recently edited. we realized that we haven't added any new coyle pics in a while,
so we're adding a couple videos from the past few weeks. we're also adding some edited footage of a hike we did in hawaii.
coyle in the kitchen - 3/29/2008
flying in the living room - 4/6/2008
hiking in waimea canyon (grand canyon of the pacific), island of kauai, hawaii - march 2007
sara was about 18 weeks pregnant with coyle when we took this hike. she kept up even though
that little boy was stealing her oxygen.

HALEAKALA CLOUDS
we just got a new imac and now have a ton of hard drive space. so, we're starting to import and go through some
old footage and are starting to slowly put a few things together.
we're hoping to do a series called "30 seconds of wonder". just different 30 seconds shorts that capture moments that captured
our eyes, hearts, or imaginations. here's one we did today. it's from our trip to hawaii
last year. it's up above the clouds on haleakala

COYLE PHOTO GALLERY ONLINE (FINALLY)
we've finally uploaded a gallery of some pictures of coyle from his first seven weeks. sorry it took so long. hope you enjoy!
it's been a whirlwind week. as many of you know, we were expecting a baby. the due date was august 10th, but
early wednesday morning took us to the hospital and coyle smith fowler was born by lunchtime.
here's all that the basic stuff. . .
Coyle Smith Fowler
born july 4th, 2007
6 lbs 5 oz.
19" inches
coyle was named after his great grandfather. for those of you wondering how to pronounce his name. . . coyle rhymes with oil.
we'll be putting up some more info and pictures online soon (hopefully this week). check back.

THE SIGN SAYS. . .
a couple of signs for your enjoyment. we love seeing stuff like this. we take pictures when we can.
can you spell 'buyer's remorse' with duct tape, too?
april 17th is the release date for bucky covington's debut album. the exciting news is that
lonnie and good friend brent wilson have a song on it. the song is called "i'll walk" and is track 3 on the cd.
baby fowler is particularly excited about this album. the baby has been moving and kicking quite a bit lately. we can only assume that this
behavior is all pure excitement knowing that bucky's album will help buy a couple of onesies or toys down the road.
so, if you like making babies happy, buy bucky's album.
i'll put a link to the song on itunes soon. stay tuned.
DORIS LORETTA FOWLER December 7, 1914 - April 5, 2007
This past Thursday night, Sara and I were on our way back to Pennsylvania.
Somewhere in the middle of the interstate, I got the phone call. This is
the call I had secretly feared any time my phone rang and Gram Fowler was
sick. But this time, there was no welcome sigh of relief. Dad quietly told
me that she had just passed away. Sara and I cried for miles and miles.
Gram, as many of us called her, wasn't the typical "bake cookies and fuss
over how much you've grown" grandma. She was funny. I don't just mean funny
for a grandma. I mean really genuinely funny. I think of her as the matriarch
of the Fowler sense of humor and creativity. She was the genetic giver of laughter
in our family. To know her was to laugh and smile often and blush occasionally.
She used to write us grandchildren poems and creative letters for our birthdays
and sometimes for no reason at all. One for me was a birthday poem on some
toilet paper. I also have an Arby's bag packed away at home that came complete
with birthday greetings, a mustard stain, and a poem on the bag about the mustard
stain - and how much money she saved by not buying a card.
I'm certain that everyone that has ever spent any time with her at all has, at
the very least smiled, if not laughed out loud. Even in these last few weeks,
as her body withered away, she continued delivering one-liners to doctors and
family. In my last conversation with her, she at one point said, "Well, I don't
know much else to tell you. I don't have any new jokes or swear words for you."
There are countless stories I could put in here, but I won't. It's too hard right
now and there's not enough time. I will save them for the rest of my life, retelling
them to my children and grandchildren all the while hoping to love them as much as she loved hers.
She one time accidentally brushed her teeth with Prell shampoo. She kept store-bought
cookies in a apple shaped cookie jar. She couldn't program a VCR to save her life.
She loved coffee from Sheetz and jalapeno poppers from Arby's. She could quote almost
every Andy Griffith episode. She loved getting her arm tickled. She listened to Ray
Charles and Guy Lombardo. She didn't always like to, but she burped. She crinkled her
eyes when she laughed. She ended many conversations with "I love you so much." She
loved her family. She fell and stayed in love with Coyle. And she loved the Lord.
She will be missed.
March 31, 2007 PICTURES FROM HAWAII
hello. we were in hawaii with sara's family for the first two weeks of march. we had a great time.
the first week was on kauai and the second week was spent on maui.
if you've never been to hawaii, we highly recommend it. we did lots of hiking, some snorkeling, some time on the beach, and a whole lot of nothing.
the good kind of nothing, that is.
there will be more old ones coming and possibly some new material headed to the web. we have some ideas, so we'll see.

DENNIS DEYOUNG
here's a funny and true story for those of you that remember the 'fowlertown marching warriors'.
lonnie played on a Chistmas tour this past december. the drummer from the tour, kyle woodring, usually plays
for deana carter (who was out on the tour). in addition, kyle plays for dennis deyoung - former lead singer for the band 'styx'.
if you remember the marching warriors halftime routine, you probably remember that it included an inspiring performance of the styx hit 'mr. roboto'.
well, recently, kyle introduced dennis to our videos and recording of mr. roboto.
we are pleased to announce that dennis found it entertaining and we have not received any kind of lawsuit thus far.
when we carefully chose mr. roboto to be part of our halftime spectacular, we had no idea that it would actually be heard by any member of styx,
let alone dennis deyoung. needless to say, kyle's call to lonnie on saturday made our weekend.

2006 LETTER ONLINE
we have finally updated our Christmas page. if you're not in our legions of fans that actually
receive a paper copy of our letter, you can look at an online version here.
make sure you scroll over the letter to read the other side and then click on it for the actual picture.

WE HAVEN'T FORGOTTEN ABOUT YOU
as is our custom, we have not updated our website in a while. but don't worry, there are a few things around the bend. we have our annual Christmas
letter completed, but not all the copies and photos have been printed yet.the near future shall bring an update and the online version of our Christmas
letter.
in the meantime, if you want to see lonnie in the next few weeks, he's playing on the GAC Country Christmas tour as part of the band for everybody out -
julie roberts, deana carter, steve azar, blue county, and american idol guy - bucky covington (in place of buddy jewell - who broke his arm falling off of a ladder). we may be near you over the next 3 weeks. here's a link
to all the dates and places. go here www.countrymusicchristmastour.com and click on dates at the bottom.

CANOE TO WORK
team green in nashville had a 'canoe to work day' this past friday.
sara and her co-worker stephanie decided to take advantage of no traffic
and free breakfast. they even made it on the news and you can watch online
(you'll see them in the red and yellow tandem kayak.
later in the afternoon, lonnie and kiddie paddled downtown in our other
kayak to meet them and then everybody paddled back upstream to the park.
sara and stephanie saw a squirrel swim across the river on their way home.

ADIOS PLUTO
many of you have probably heard that pluto (the one in our solar system) has been reclassified by a vote of scientists as a 'dwarf planet'. it is not a planet anymore. now our solar system only has 8 planets, not 9.
many of you have probably been wondering what our response would be to such a major news event. well, here's our view- it's about time! we don't know about all of you, but we were pretty sick of that wannabe planet taking up learning time in our schools.
because we're so enthused with the decision to eliminate pluto, we've come up with a list of other things we would like to see a vote on by scientists. . .
hopefully someday soon, we can all say: · idaho is no longer a state
· tuesday is no longer a day
· spring is no longer a season
· grundy county is no longer a county in tennessee
· face is no longer a member of the A-Team
there's more we'd like to see change, but we feel like our list would be a great place to start.

WING
we have a new internet sensation to share with you all.
wing, a hong kong native now living in new zealand, has recorded several cd's of some of her
favorite songs. she started learning to sing after arriving in her new home.
our favorite has to be her rendition of 'back in black' by ac/dc, complete with
a midi keyboard accompaniment track.
she has samples to listen to on her site. enjoy!

THE LINDON LOOK
following his brotherly duty, lonnie has uploaded a picture of his brother, lindon. he's special.
due to high demand for more lindon related media, we've added a special bonus - the lindon fowler desktop. just right click on this link and choose download or whatever pcs say (mac users - control+click and select 'download linked file').
April 10, 2006 WE'RE BACK FROM CHINA
actually, we've been back for over a week now. we flew to beijing on march 18th and returned to nashvegas on april 1st.
it was a great experience. sara's sister, stephani, has lived in china since 1992. the purpose of the trip was
really to see her, but she took lots of time off for us to sightsee and travel together.
we've uploaded about 70 or so pictures from our trip here. (like our other galleries, you can go through the photos one at a time
and click on either the right or left side of the photo to move ahead or back. the caption, for the current picture
and for any thumbnails you scroll over with the mouse, will be underneath all the thumbnails and
tell you a little about the photo )
after taking an all night train ride (with beds), we arrived in changsha, the city where steph lives. it's a rather small
chinese city, with about 7 million people (close to the same size as the chicago metropolitan area). there was plenty to do and
see there, with many of the highlights being glimpses of steph's life in changsha along with introductions to many of her close
friends and "family".
one of the best things about being in china, especially hunan
(the province that steph lives in), was the food. the food in hunan is spicier (which we like) than much of the rest of the country. there were too many great meals to attempt sharing about all of them
on our site. we can only recommend that you go there or find someone from hunan to cook for you.
we spent several days in hunan and then took another all night train ride to a town in western hunan called feng huang. it's a quaint
chinese town with many members of the miao (and a few other chinese minority groups) living there.
the town is both gorgeous and completely fascinating. lots of great food, ginger candy, crafts, and interesting people are found everywhere
along the narrow cobblestone streets.
we headed back to changsha for a few more days and then the trip ended far too early and we came home. we may post a little more about the
trip with more detail, but for now, enjoy the
pictures we have posted.
March 5, 2006 WE'RE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS
a once in a lifetime opportunity has presented itself.
we'd like to offer it to two other lucky individuals. we will split the savings semi-equally.
(hey, why not give ourselves a small "finder's fee"?)
we know there will probably be a huge response. so, if an effort to be fair, we've decided to take the first
two people to respond. how often does a 'buy 3, get 1 free' come along?
serious inquiries only, please. we don't want to spend eternity next to some half-hearted jokers. we've already got family.

BITS AND PIECES
it's been a few days since we last posted, and now have a few little bits and pieces to get out there. . .
- the steelers won the superbowl a week ago, but you probably already knew that
- kiddie's video of her and the terrible towel have been viewed 4,434 times (as of sunday) on
YouTube.com - check out this hilarious movie trailer spoof of brokeback to the future
- check out lonnie's current favorite commercial. it's a starburst ad. click
juicy spot ernie
- as of this post, 33 days and 21 or so hours until we go to china! (and no, we're not bringing back any babies)
February 4, 2006 SMALL WORLD
as many of you may know, lonnie went to afghanistan to play for the troops with chely wright in september of
last year. well, check out this article in the pittsburgh post-gazette
about one of the soldiers lonnie met at camp salerno near the pakistan border.
while you're watching the game tomorrow, take a moment
or two to remember all the troops throwing superbowl parties in some pretty lonely and hostile places. pray that everyone makes it back
safe and sound.
January 27, 2006 SARA AT WORK
at her office, sara starts each day with more and more
renown due to her stunts she pulls off at work. well, that might be stretching reality a bit,
but at least lonnie gets a kick out of her exploits. most recently, she put some of her executive director's
possessions into the vending machine (an idea inspired by nbc's the office)
so, yesterday, after the goods were put in the machine, sara went into his office and left a note with two quarters on his desk.
she's most likely the only person in her office that can or would even try to get away with something like that.
January 23, 2006 STEELER MANIA
the pittsburgh steelers are going to the superbowl. lonnie and kiddie (both lifelong fans) and sara (fan since 1996-ish)
are thrilled to see the black and gold make it all the way to detroit to play in superbowl xl.
it's definitely fun to think about. we did hold back posting anything until the superbowl berth (except for kiddie,
who couldn't
contain her excitement of upsetting the #1 seeded colts)
for any other fans that frequent our site, here's a a good resource for keeping up on all the most
recent articles from the major pittsburgh papers. it's called
www.steelergridiron.com.
January 18, 2006 Part Two KIDDIE AND HER TERRIBLE TOWEL
well, it's not quite noon here and the snow has already melted (from this morning's 'blizzard'), so we've decided to put
up a video of kiddie waving her official
"Terrible Towel". you can
watch the video here. (file size 7.13MB)
have a great day. go steelers! (by the way, if you want to share this video, you can send people to our site, or to this site - www.youtube.com.)
January 18, 2006 BLIZZARD OF 2006 HITS - AND HARD!
some of you were around last year and might remember reading about the blizzard that hit nashville with as much
as 3/16". well, old man winter is back, guns a-blazing. with more than triple the storm total of last year - coming
in at 11/16"! (for our international visitors, that's almost 2 centimeters of winter madness!!)
the following is not a joke. nashville schools (along with dozens of others in TN) are closed today. though, nary a single flake
stuck to the roads.
January 13, 2006
PICTURES PAGE NOW UP AND RUNNING (FINALLY)
well, we're now half the slackers that we were before. we've finally updated the
pictures page.
we know how millions of you have been longing for more content and more things to click on, so we're here to deliver.
we'll be adding galleries in the future, so check back for more pictures and less stick men shoveling.
January 10, 2006
86,136
86,136 - that's the number of places in the standings that sara finished ahead of lonnie
in nfl.com's playoff fantasy football game this past week. it's a cumulative scoring system, picking players
each week that will be final after the superbowl.
should this trend continue, she could finish a half a million spots ahead of lonnie by the time february gets here.
January 7, 2006
MORE VIDEO FROM THE VAULT!
every once in a while, we come a across something in the fowler archives that we think might be
somewhat enjoyable. here's a video from late 2005. it's the "director's commentary" version of the
"fowlertown marching warriors" documentary.
here's a fun little movie we recently came across. a couple of guys animated the "camelot" scene
from 'monty python's quest for the holy grail' entirely with legos.
we realize that posting something like this might sound a little nerdy. but, don't worry. we don't own any 10 sided dice and
haven't waited in line for anything star trek related. (if you dldn't get the 10 sided dice thing, it's probably a good thing)
December 30, 2005 DELETED SCENE - BAKE SALE
here is one more scene that we forgot to include. feel free to watch it if you have nothing better to do. (which apparently, many of you don't)
our 2005 Christmas letter is now online. due to the high demand for more features, the online version of the letter
has a few bonus things (with even more on the way). check it out (and you may want to stop by later this week).
December 8, 2005 DID SOMEONE SAY BANANA?
hey everybody, lonnie here. this entry is probably as PG as our site gets. anyway. . . i had a show in port charlotte, fl this past weekend.
it's about a 90 minute drive from the tampa airport. after playing a mid-afternoon set at the festival, we had to
go as quickly as possible back to the airport to make it on time for our flight.
so, after the show, i got a few things packed up on stage, then ran to the restroom in the same building as catering. while there, i picked up
a banana, some water, and a couple of muffins. on my way out the door, i ran into our driver from the previous day who wished us a safe trip
back to nashville. another festival worker came up and wished me the same. at this point, i was feeling a little rushed, knowing that everyone else
is probably waiting on me to get in the van so we could get to the airport.
just then, an older woman (probably late 60s) came running up saying, "wait! wait! wait!". i obliged, thinking that it must be important for this nice lady to
be running toward me. she then reached in, touched the banana i was holding and said, "i just
wanted to touch your banana."
after giving me a devilish grin, she turned and walked away.
December 7, 2005 ALMOST DONE
we're working on our annual Christmas letter, which should be done soon. we've even ironed our outfits for the picture.
we've also decided to bake Christmas cookies for the entire city of nashville, so that project will probably take away some time from us updating our website. however, some updates are around the corner. just you wait and see.
November 22, 2005 HAPPY TURKEY DAY WEEK
late last week, a neighbor dog stole one of lonnie's "mow the grass" shoes. we fortunately found it yesterday
way down the street in a distant neighbor's yard. we think they're still in mowable condition.
yesterday, lonnie ordered a CD from CDBaby.com the order shipped today, and here's what they put in the email
confirming shipping.
Your CD has been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with
sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.
A team of 50 employees inspected your CD and polished it to make sure
it was in the best possible condition before mailing.
Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over
the crowd as he put your CD into the finest gold-lined box that money
can buy.
We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party
marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of
Portland waved 'Bon Voyage!' to your package, on its way to you, in
our private CD Baby jet on this day, Tuesday, November 22nd.
I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. We sure did.
Your picture is on our wall as 'Customer of the Year'. We're all
exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!
"customer of the year"? that's going on lonnie's resumé!
November 7, 2005 HOW ARE YOU FINDING US?
with all the fancy things we can keep track of with our website, sometimes we look up what search
phrases people are typing in to find our website. don't ask us exactly how or why, but a few people
have found our site with some extremely odd phrases.
our favorites so far this year are "johnny damon skoal" and "christmas macarena song words". those words are all on our website. see if you can find some odd phrases or words on our site and type them into google.
whoever finds our site on google with the weirdest phrase gets 10 points. you can do whatever you want with those points, should you win.
October 28, 2005 THIS JUST IN - LONNIE'S PARENTS MIGHT BE WEIRD
once retired, many couples will buy an rv and tour the country, some spend more time golfing, while yet others winter in florida. not the fowlers.
lonnie's folks have been tirelessly preparing for a reality tv show they've created called "Frontier Living in East Brady". it's very ambitious, and we wish them all the luck in the world.
June 29, 2005 WILL THE REAL TIM SHADY PLEASE STAND UP?
in the past few days, we at heyfowlers.com have gotten dozens of emails trying to find out what to believe about the latest internet hoax.
it seems as though there are more tim nardonis than ever. see for yourself. we'll let you decide.
June 14, 2005
$20, JEFF REDWINE, AND A LITTLE SHIRT
while
out on the road in ohio this past weekend, lonnie offered $20 to jeff redwine,
chely wright's monitor engineer, to wear one of chely's tiny baby doll t-shirts
for sale. jeff is more of a "lane bryant" sized man at 6'5",
so it was quite a sight to see him behind the monitor board squeezed into
such a tiny t-shirt. so much of a sight, in fact, that chely's fans are talking
about it on her message board.
though lonnie doesn't plan on offering money to jeff in the future, he believes
that seeing jeff come out on stage with that shirt on was worth at least three
easy payments of $19.99.
May 31, 2005 AREN'T YOU GOING TO ASK US HOW OUR TRIP WENT?
our
weekend in new york was a lot of fun. lonnie entertained the sailors while sara
watched; we bought stuff on the streets (don't worry, we didn't get any drugs
this time); ate pizza, hot dogs, pretzels, shishkabobs; went to ground zero;
got great seats at the yankees' game from johnny damon - thanks johnny! we also
witnessed a classic "new
york moment" while listening
to music in central park that
we found quite amusing (listen hard for the crazy man laughing). we enjoyed
being a part of the 'fox and friends' show monday morning. it was a short, but
very busy and fun couple of days.
basically, we'd have to say that going to new york city is way better than playing basketball at the high school gym on saturdays, no matter what anyone else says.
if you want, you can see some more pictures from our trip by clicking here.
May 26, 2005 NEW YORK
we'll be headed up to manhattan this weekend. lonnie has a show in dallas tomorrow, and then sara will meet him saturday in new york just in time to catch chely's show on the u.s.s. intrepid.
after
that, we'll be spending all-day sunday being tourists and such tooling around
the streets of new york. we'll have the day off waiting for chely's appearance
early monday morning on Fox
and Friends on Fox News Cable Network. if you want to check it out, it
will be on sometime in the 8-9am segment, we're not exactly sure when. we do
know that we'll have to be there @ 5:30 am for a sound check.
have a great holiday weekend. stay tuned for other stuff.
May 18, 2005 SINGLE WHITE LONNIE
for those of you that weren't in batesville, mississippi last saturday, you missed
quite an experience. you missed an 8 year old casually walking around smoking
cigarettes like a pro, and a 10 year old with the "skoal ring" in the back pocket
of his way too tight jeans. and most unimportantly, you missed lonnie's big single
white debut.
for some unknown reason, chely asked lonnie to give the crowd a teaser of
her song "Single
White Female" in order to appease the large mass of the non-smoking elementary
school kids rushing the stage and asking for that song. he obliged, and this was the result.
¡buenos day everybody! if you're reading this, you most likely have noticed
that we've changed our web address. we finally decided to pay for some hosting
and buy the domain www.heyfowlers.com...gone are the days of http://fowlersrule.thisbelongsto.us.
i'm sure you all will cope.
honestly, we will be updating it more in the near future. we've got quite a bit going on in the rest of our lives right now, but we promise that we'll have more updates more frequently.
so, what else is new? lonnie is heading to germany tomorrow for a show and
sara is heading to florida to see her roomies from college. the trip to germany
is to play for some troops that we met last fall at F.O.B.
Summerall in bayji, iraq. they are stationed in germany and the whole
chely crew is part of a big show to welcome the the guys and gals back.
the really special part of the trip is that we're taking specialist
josh henry's parents, larry and perri justice. they'll get a chance
to meet many of the dedicated guys that fought alongside josh until his last
day.
sara's trip is going to be her first chance to meet mikah hoyman and catch
up with the rest of the gang from college. all the roomies are getting more
spread out - from germany to colorado and places in between. so it will be
a great trip for everybody to catch up and, most likely, be loud.
in conclusion, we promise that we'll be getting more on the ball with our website and we'll have plenty more for you to waste your time looking at in the near future.
in the meantime, here's a great place to waste some time. you can watch the ever hilarious john daker and company (the daker video is one that we had ten years ago in college, lost our only copy and finally found it on the net. apparently, it has resurfaced this year to our delight. enjoy - and don't forget to watch john daker, pearl gross, and dolores stevens.
April 20, 2005 UTAH
hey all, we're back and we've uploaded
some pictures from our trip. we had
an amazing experience and had all kinds of weather. the temps ranged from 15º
to 75º and we had sun , rain, lots of wind, sleet, snow, and a sandstorm.
many on the same day.
we only saw five other people while we were in canyonlands.
it was very nice to get away. we spent the last couple of days out there in
moab, utah, spending the days at arches national park.
March 6, 2005 LONG TIME, NO POSTS
it's been a very long time since our last post. we weren't able to update
our site while the hosting service was transferring everything to new servers.
sorry for the delay. we'd like to promise that it won't happen again, but it
probably will until we actually use a hosting plan that we have to pay for.
here's all of the latest fowler gossip. . . we're heading out to canyonlands
national park two weeks from today to go backpacking in the park's 'maze
district'. lonnie just finished composing the score for a short documentary video for 'fireside international'. fireside is a service and mission minded film and video production organization. go check them out.
not much else new that we can think of. . . except that kiddie finally quit
chewing tobacco. we're so proud of her.
February 8, 2005 VIDEO IN TOP 5
hey everyone, the video for "Bumper of My SUV" mentioned all the way at the
bottom of this page is now in the top 5 on GAC's top 20 videos. believe it
or not, it's the first video that lonnie has directed to make it into any top 5 list (including sara's lists).
if you're interested, you can go vote (limited to one vote per email address per day) at GAC's website. voting is easy and rather painless, just make sure you uncheck the boxes for receiving news and updates from gac (unless you like extra email).
February 2, 2005 BABY LUCY
six more weeks of changing diapers for the wilson family. punxsutawney phil saw his shadow and our good friends brent and angie just had their first child this morning. lucy elisabeth. she's adorable.
we've put a gallery online for them to direct friends and family to - and you're more than welcome to check it out, too.
January 29, 2005 AFTER 10. . .
new video footage of our niece, kendall. taken over the holidays.
we just had to put it online.
January 23, 2005 BLIZZARD BURIES NASHVILLE
the snowstorm that pounded the midwest and northeast with as much as 20" of snow made it's way into nashville last night. according to the weather team here at fowlersrule, nashville recorded as much as 3/16" in some places with hazardous driving conditions.
the massses headed in droves to grocery stores for staples such as bread, milk, and eggs. as we always do when there is "wintry" weather in nashville, we had french toast, which uses all three.
January 5, 2005 HAPPY NEW YEAR AND STUFF
well, the holidays are over and we're safe and sound back in the fowler nest in nashvegas. we got snow and winter for the first half of the trip and balmy atypical temps for the latter half. everyone in indiana and PA said to say, "hello."
lonnie's brother got married on new year's eve. ying ding and midge (aka
lindon and megan) are currently honeymooning and will make their way to their
new home together in montgomery, al next week. they also said to say, "hello."
by the way, lonnie got an ipod for Christmas and sara got more ink added to her hulk hogan tattoo. (it's almost done, yay!) maybe not, but we do have an ipod.

CHRISTMAS LETTER
hey everybody! our annual Christmas letter will soon be available
online.

should be working soon.
Dec 12, 2004 ORLANDO
this past weekend, lonnie played a show in orlando with chely in support of
our wounded troops. it was at the House of Blues near disney.
it was quite an evening. though he's been a part of entertaining the troops
before, never has he been able to get an up close perspective on those
who've been
wounded. it was very difficult to think what some of them had maybe gone
through, but definitely an experience he's thankful for.
the organization sponsoring the event was the "Coalition to Salute
America's Heroes" (you can learn all about their organization here).
we played our set just before the lt.
dan band led by kimo williams and gary sinise. this marked one of the
few occasions that lonnie bothered someone to have a picture taken with
them.

FOWLERSRULE CORP. ANNOUNCES MAJOR WEBSITE CHANGES

but hopefully, this new look is enough for now. if you have questions about
anything, we now have changed our faq page to "ASK
KIDDIE."

VIDEO
recently, lonnie was asked to help put together (direct) chely wright's new music video for her latest single Bumper of My S.U.V.. for those of you that don't know, lonnie went to iraq in september with chely and the whole crew to play for the troops. if you want to read about it, click here. you can see some pictures and watch some video, too.
anyway,
the music video is a live performance at the Grand Ole' Opry cut
with footage
that he (along with others) shot in iraq, korea, and other trips from the
past few years.
